<span style="font-size: medium;"> </span></div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
<span style="font-family: Helvetica Neue, Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif; font-size: large;">I've written this post with my bee-mates in the BuzzyFriendsQuiltingBee in mind, so it may be very wordy and picture heavy! </span></div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
<span style="font-family: Helvetica Neue, Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif; font-size: large;"><br /></span></div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
<span style="font-family: Helvetica Neue, Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif; font-size: large;"><br /></span></div>
<span style="font-family: Helvetica Neue, Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif;"><span style="font-size: large;"> I've had Anna Maria Horners' Feather Bed pattern on my never-ending wish list for quite a while, so it seemed the perfect choice for my month in the bee.</span><span style="font-size: large;">I'm going to try and include everything I did when making my practice block, some of which is probably very basic information, which you may not need, but as I'm trying to be thorough I don't want to miss anything out.</span></span><br />
<div style="text-align: justify;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
<u><span style="font-family: Helvetica Neue, Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif; font-size: large;"><strong>Printing out the pattern.</strong></span></u></div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
<span style="font-family: Helvetica Neue, Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif; font-size: large;">Genourously, Anna Maria Horner offers this as a free pattern on her website, click <strong><u><a href="http://static1.squarespace.com/static/54af3fe5e4b06fead268b5fd/t/54d52966e4b0c433a9702ee4/1423255910958/Feather.Bed.Quilt%281%29.pdf">here</a></u></strong> for the link. </span></div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
<span style="font-family: Helvetica Neue, Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif; font-size: large;">Just a note of caution - when you come to print out check which size option you choose '. I used 'actual size' in the print option. My pattern came out as 18 1/2 inches along the outside edge of the (F1 +F2) template piece when assembled (about 46.5 cm). This means my finished block, comprising two feathers, finishes at eighteen and a half inches square </span></div>

<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
<span style="font-family: Helvetica Neue, Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif; font-size: large;">I found it helpful to leave a bit of spare paper at the join of the F1 and F2 pieces (see middle picture) which meant I could stick one piece on top of the other and made the join a bit stronger, which is useful if it will be handled a lot. </span></div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
<span style="font-family: Helvetica Neue, Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif; font-size: large;">Before you do anything else I suggest you read through the pattern. It is well written and covers everything you need to know. </span></div>

<div style="text-align: justify;">
<u><span style="font-family: Helvetica Neue, Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif; font-size: large;"><strong>Selecting and cutting the fabric.</strong></span></u></div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
<strong><span style="font-family: Helvetica Neue, Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif; font-size: large;">For the Feathers. </span></strong></div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
<span style="font-family: Helvetica Neue, Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif; font-size: large;">I've chosen mostly quite strong saturated colours with a few lighter prints. I've also tried to mix up prints and plains, spots and checks, large and small scale pattern. This project is perfect for using up lots of scraps!</span></div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
<span style="font-family: Helvetica Neue, Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif; font-size: large;">Choose your fabrics, cutting off strips as specified in the pattern (between 1 1/2 and 3 inches wide). Once you have cut your strips, you'll need to lay them out in an order you like. I prefer to have a bit of contrast between the strips, either by pattern or colour.</span></div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
<span style="font-family: Helvetica Neue, Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif; font-size: large;"><span style="-webkit-text-size-adjust: auto; background-color: rgba(255, 255, 255, 0);"><strong>Piecing and pressing the feathers. </strong></span></span></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://lh3.googleusercontent.com/-QZsIxlMs0RE/Vv2evWEOBgI/AAAAAAAAAaQ/ySbnEtPUONQ/s2048/Photo%25252020160331230308741.jpg" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;" target="_blank"><span style="font-family: Helvetica Neue, Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif;"><img alt="" class="aligncenter" height="500" id="blogsy-1459461850970.3506" src="https://lh3.googleusercontent.com/-QZsIxlMs0RE/Vv2evWEOBgI/AAAAAAAAAaQ/ySbnEtPUONQ/s500/Photo%25252020160331230308741.jpg" width="500" /></span></a></div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
<span style="font-family: Helvetica Neue, Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif; font-size: x-large; line-height: 1.3em;">You can piece the strips together straight away in a 'all the ends level' arrangement as above or you can 'stagger' the ends to minimise wastage, which is what I did. To do that, lay out your strips and lay the feather piece over it, lining up the 'direction' lines parallel with the long edges. It's probably easier to see what I mean in the picture below.</span></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://lh3.googleusercontent.com/-TMZsgcTGQZk/Vv2exrcC47I/AAAAAAAAAaU/ef61bTSiMIs/s2048/Photo%25252020160331230309015.jpg" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;" target="_blank"><span style="font-family: Helvetica Neue, Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif;"><img alt="" class="aligncenter" height="432" id="blogsy-1459461851028.5342" src="https://lh3.googleusercontent.com/-TMZsgcTGQZk/Vv2exrcC47I/AAAAAAAAAaU/ef61bTSiMIs/s500/Photo%25252020160331230309015.jpg" width="432" /></span></a></div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
<span style="font-family: Helvetica Neue, Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif; font-size: x-large; line-height: 1.3em;">When you are happy with your fabric placement pin the strips in pairs, being careful to keep the 'stagger' and sew together.</span></div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
<span style="font-family: Helvetica Neue, Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif; font-size: large;">Carefully press the seams open, a lot of distortion can be introduced at this point if you don't press carefully.</span></div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
<span style="font-family: Helvetica Neue, Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif; font-size: large;">Lay the strips out again to work out the stagger between the pairs, laying the template on top to make sure you are happy with the placement. Pin, sew, press, repeat as necessary until you achieve the size of pieced fabric panel you need.</span></div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
<span style="font-family: Helvetica Neue, Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif; font-size: large;">Pin your template to the pieced panel - I found the fabric moved quite a bit, especially when cutting at the points and even more if there was a seam very close to the point of the feather.</span></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://lh3.googleusercontent.com/-3zF1shyNCU4/Vv2ez_n0_tI/AAAAAAAAAaY/GQ5r_Lfq6ws/s2048/Photo%25252020160331230309280.jpg" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;" target="_blank"><span style="font-family: Helvetica Neue, Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif;"><img alt="" class="aligncenter" height="500" id="blogsy-1459461850980.8071" src="https://lh3.googleusercontent.com/-3zF1shyNCU4/Vv2ez_n0_tI/AAAAAAAAAaY/GQ5r_Lfq6ws/s500/Photo%25252020160331230309280.jpg" width="500" /></span></a></div>
<span style="font-family: Helvetica Neue, Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif; font-size: large;"> These round headed pins aren't the best idea when you want to use a ruler over them!</span><br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: start;">
<span style="font-family: Helvetica Neue, Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif; font-size: large;"> </span></div>

<span style="font-family: Helvetica Neue, Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif; font-size: large;"> </span></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: start;">
<span style="line-height: 1.3em; text-align: center;"><span style="font-family: Helvetica Neue, Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif; font-size: large;">NOTE - you must be aware of the alignment marks on the template pieces, do not just place the template against the cut edge of the fabric panel.</span></span></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: start;">
<span style="line-height: 1.3em; text-align: center;"><span style="font-family: Helvetica Neue, Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif; font-size: large;">It is <em>not</em> possible to cut the left and right halves of the feather from a single pieced panel with this method. Anna Maria Horner describes a way to cut both left and right halves of the feather from a single large panel in her directions, which you may find useful. </span></span></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: start;">
<span style="line-height: 1.3em; text-align: center;"><strong><u><span style="font-family: Helvetica Neue, Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif; font-size: large;">Cutting the background fabric.</span></u></strong></span></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: start;">
<span style="line-height: 1.3em; text-align: center;"><span style="font-family: Helvetica Neue, Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif; font-size: large;">I have chosen to use yarn-dyed Essex linen (45% linen 55% cotton) as the background for my quilt. This fabric has a beautiful drape and is heavier than quilting weight cotton. </span></span></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: start;">
<span style="line-height: 1.3em; text-align: center;"><span style="font-family: Helvetica Neue, Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif; font-size: large;">Essex linen is especially easy to use with this pattern as it does not have a 'right' side. Meaning there is less chance of error when cutting out the background pieces.</span></span></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: start;">
<span style="font-family: Helvetica Neue, Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif; font-size: large;"><span style="background-color: rgba(255 , 255 , 255 , 0); line-height: 1.3em; text-align: center;">As I would need to send a piece of background fabric to each member of the Hive I needed to work out the most efficient way to lay out the templates on a single piece of fabric. <p><font size="5">.....for lots of finishes in Q3.</font></p>
<p><font size="5"> </font></p>
<p><font size="5">Let's just gloss over the fact that I didn't have an awful lot of finishes in Q2 and move right along, shall we?</font></p>
<p><font size="5"> <br></font></p>
<p><font size="5">1. <u>Rachel's scrappy stars</u> is making another appearance on the list. </font></p>
<p><font size="5">This quilt is actually on her bed, binding on but quilting incomplete! I'm not sure what the quilt police would say about my flouting of the rules on this one. </font></p>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="https://lh6.googleusercontent.com/-xKK4tTpcnOE/U8RHD2hG9SI/AAAAAAAAAWU/i8mbloWCp6A/s1024/Photo%25252020140714220923.jpg" target="_blank" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><font size="5"><img src="https://lh6.googleusercontent.com/-xKK4tTpcnOE/U8RHD2hG9SI/AAAAAAAAAWU/i8mbloWCp6A/s500/Photo%25252020140714220923.jpg" id="blogsy-1405372247785.3787" class="aligncenter" alt="" width="500" height="798"></font></a></div>
<p><font size="5"> </font></p>
<p><font size="5">I decided I wanted to FMQ stars in the negative spaces. I reasoned that as I had already done a straight line cross hatch through the stars it would be ok to bind it. And once it was bound it may as well live on the bed. I've FMQuilted a few stars already, I'm trying different designs to stretch myself a bit. Some designs are working better than others but overall I'm really pleased with this one. </font></p>

<p><font size="5">I only started this a couple of days ago, I was too tired to sew on Friday night but wanted to play with some fabric. I glued down these pieces (I've got a ziploc bag of trimmed scraps) and just went for it.</font></p>

<p><font size="5">I've wanted to try this since I saw the lovely work in <a href="http://www.amazon.co.uk/Sunday-Morning-Quilts-Amanda-Nyberg/dp/1607054272" target="_self" title="">Sunday Morning Quilts</a>. I decided to straight line quilt with two colours of variegated Aurifil thread, the lemon in one direction and the green in the other. This is destined to be another cushion, although I can see a whole quilt of these panels in my future. It's a lovely way of using up even teeny tiny pieces of fabric (less than one inch square) and makes you feel really virtuous ( to offset the guilt of buying more?).</font></p>

We fool ourselves into thinking 'that looks easy, I don't need to buy a pattern'. But that's because we haven't gone through the whole process of calculating fabric yardage, what size and shape to cut the pieces, order of construction, when to press, which side to press too (sometimes this really matters), etc, etc. If writing patterns were easy, we'd all be doing it. </font></p><p> </p><p><font size="5">Most patterns for this type of precision piecing tend to be paper pieced. I'm not a fan of paper piecing myself which is probably another reason I just jumped in. If you are, then the aforementioned <a href="http://jeliquilts.blogspot.co.uk/p/patterns.html">Jeliquilts</a> has a few, including some insanely small pincushion sized circles!!</font></p><p><font size="5"></font></p><p><span style="font-size: x-large;">Although I have to say, I didn't expect this to be straightforward, sometimes I just like the challenge of attempting something without knowing how I'm going to do it. I always learn something from the process.</span><font size="5"></font></p><p><font size="5"> </font></p><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="https://lh3.googleusercontent.com/-1W6WJEhMmxs/U7fsstEV9mI/AAAAAAAAAUM/lB1F_xY8Dog/s960/Photo%25252020140705131629.jpg" target="_blank" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><font size="5"><img src="https://lh3.googleusercontent.com/-1W6WJEhMmxs/U7fsstEV9mI/AAAAAAAAAUM/lB1F_xY8Dog/s500/Photo%25252020140705131629.jpg" id="blogsy-1404563321580.2788" class="aligncenter" alt="" width="500" height="667"></font></a></div><p><font size="5"> </font></p><p><font size="5"> </font></p><p><font size="5">I had intended to densely FMQ with small spirals in the negative space, to make the geese pop out from the background. But after I'd added the border I felt I wanted to accentuated the 'motion' of the geese, so one large spiral seemed the way to go.</font></p><p><font size="5">I used a wine glass as a Hera marker to press a circle into the centre. I then drew a spriral from the center out to the indentation. From that point I could just use the edge of my walking foot and follow the previous quilting line. It worked a treat. I started at a glacial pace in the centre with short stitches and as the spiral opened out I lengthened the stitches and went a little more quickly. </font></p><p><font size="5"> </font></p><p><font size="5">Initially I was going to make this into a cushion but my husband and daughter have had enough of my cushions for a while. So with the hope of one day having a dedicated sewing room I have made this into a mini to hang on the wall.</font></p><p><font size="5">Quilt; Circle of Geese Mini. And a finish. <p><font size="4"> As usual I've been working on things that are NOT on my FAL list. </font></p><p><font size="4"><br></font></p><p><font size="4">In fact, it's worse than that, I've been cutting fabric for a Plus quilt. I've cut enough for 45 crosses so far but I'm enjoying the process of cut, measure, cut, so much that I'm definitely going to cut more. I think I like the orderly process and the straight forward nature of this pattern ( I'm a lab technician). The creative part is the fabric selection and the layout but the underlying structure of the pattern is quite regimented, I'm enjoying that immensely. A contributing factor could also be that I'm using part of my lunchtime at work to cut out. So it feels slightly naughty and it like bonus time I'm getting back.</font></p><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="https://lh4.googleusercontent.com/-zRUt-FcSnRE/UzxXLS66aGI/AAAAAAAAAQs/PEYITEheW1U/s960/Photo%25252020140402193000.jpg" target="_blank" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img src="https://lh4.googleusercontent.com/-zRUt-FcSnRE/UzxXLS66aGI/AAAAAAAAAQs/PEYITEheW1U/s500/Photo%25252020140402193000.jpg" id="blogsy-1396463425420.551" class="aligncenter" alt="" width="500" height="667"></a></div><p><font size="4"><br></font></p><p> </p><p><font size="4">I've tried a quick layout but it's not working for me yet. Both colours are lacking in my stash, that won't change as I'm on a self-imposed fabric diet at the moment ( 3 months and counting). </font></p><p> I'm also pleased that I've managed to cut out the offending centre of this cushion (what was I thinking, how many seams!)?</p><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEji9_bwRU066iiUl-k_jl-1SsQWBY2hBiti1qB0u1NW9ourOTX0f23qP67HPae8Ebv38eqcUJJXDuq9p0eJybNDRFhSQy0EnMbmagP0cs4pXEJ3Z9tdBacTFjOF8dwqPAmuuybjXuC7li_A/s1024/Photo%25252020140402193000.jpg" target="_blank" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEji9_bwRU066iiUl-k_jl-1SsQWBY2hBiti1qB0u1NW9ourOTX0f23qP67HPae8Ebv38eqcUJJXDuq9p0eJybNDRFhSQy0EnMbmagP0cs4pXEJ3Z9tdBacTFjOF8dwqPAmuuybjXuC7li_A/s500/Photo%25252020140402193000.jpg" id="blogsy-1396463425412.997" class="aligncenter" alt="" width="500" height="375"></a></div><p> </p><p>It now lies flat and is waiting for a little bit of batting before it becomes a cushion.</p><p> </p><p>I do have a single solitary finish to report. <u><span style="font-size: large;">1. Rachel's scrappy stars.</span></u><br />
<span style="font-size: large;">This is the biggie.</span><br />
<span style="font-size: large;"> I started making this quilt at least two years ago and I'm pretty sure it's been basted for about a year. Need. To. Quilt.</span><br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://lh3.googleusercontent.com/-WhhAedwBGaw/UtbBi_Sh4LI/AAAAAAAAAOg/LpmsvDeZ31M/s960/Photo%25252012%252520Jan%2525202014%25252013%25253A18.jpg" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;" target="_blank"><span style="font-size: large;"><img alt="" class="aligncenter" height="667" id="blogsy-1389805983709.02" src="https://lh3.googleusercontent.com/-WhhAedwBGaw/UtbBi_Sh4LI/AAAAAAAAAOg/LpmsvDeZ31M/s500/Photo%25252012%252520Jan%2525202014%25252013%25253A18.jpg" width="500" /></span></a></div>
<span style="font-size: large;"> </span><br />
<span style="font-size: large;"> </span><br />
<span style="font-size: large;"><u>2. Rainbow circle</u>.</span><br />
<span style="font-size: large;"> Again, it's a lack of confidence with my quilting that's been holding me up. Coupled with my schoolgirl error of quilting the outside before the centre..duh! This led to major puckerage (a town somewhere in Alaska?).</span><br />
<span style="font-size: large;"><br />
</span><br />
<span style="font-size: large;">At this point I panicked and tried to strong arm some concentric circles, this was the result...</span><br />
<span style="font-size: large;"> </span><br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://lh6.googleusercontent.com/-J1ASv9FtvJ0/UtbBjyegQwI/AAAAAAAAAOo/8Ojh607-Kek/s960/Photo%25252019%252520Oct%2525202013%25252010%25253A40.jpg" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;" target="_blank"><span style="font-size: large;"><img alt="" class="aligncenter" height="667" id="blogsy-1389805983737.457" src="https://lh6.googleusercontent.com/-J1ASv9FtvJ0/UtbBjyegQwI/AAAAAAAAAOo/8Ojh607-Kek/s500/Photo%25252019%252520Oct%2525202013%25252010%25253A40.jpg" width="500" /></span></a></div>
<span style="font-size: large;"> </span><br />
<span style="font-size: large;"> After unpicking and spraying with water<span style="line-height: 1.3em;"> and then a light steaming from the iron, </span><span style="line-height: 1.3em;">I think I've managed to minimise the excess puffiness and have used my basting gun to hold it in place. </span></span><br />
<span style="line-height: 1.3em;"><span style="font-size: large;"><br />
</span></span><br />
<span style="line-height: 1.3em;"><span style="font-size: large;"> I still can't decide how to quilt the centre though,...concentric circles again, wavy lines? I'd like to do a spiral but I'm not sure how to confidently mark one on the fabric. Cue music ... 'There may be trouble ahead'..</span></span><br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">

<span style="font-size: large;"> </span><br />
<span style="font-size: large;"><u><br />
</u></span><br />
<span style="font-size: large;"><u> 3. Economy block baby quilt.</u></span><br />
<span style="font-size: large;">There have been so many lovely blocks popping up all over blogland and IG recently, </span><span style="font-size: x-large; line-height: 1.3em;"> that I really wanted to join in. A colleague is expecting, so a baby quilt should scratch this particular quilty itch.</span><br />
<span style="font-size: large;">So far this is just a fabric pull, which I'm basing around the twelve motifs I can pick out of the central fabric.</span><br />

<span style="font-size: x-large; line-height: 1.3em;">I'm not loving it though, I think I need to choose brighter fabrics. The ones I've pulled so far were to match the colours in the print. A bolder choice of colours and contrasts is required I'm thinking. I'm hoping as this is a straightforward project it should proceed fairly quickly (really, did I say that!).</span><br />

<span style="font-size: large;"> </span><br />
<span style="font-size: large;">This is a recent start. My previous handwork project was the embroidery on a xchristmasquilt quilt that is now put away again (third year in a row and a non-finish from the fourth quarter FAL). I needed something to work on and this is the result. No rhyme or reason, I just needed a project. </span><br />
<span style="font-size: large;"><br />
</span><br />
<span style="font-size: large;">That's it, my list. There are other projects on my WIP pile but I need to stop thinking about the list and sew instead.</span><br />
<span style="font-size: large;"><br />
</span><br />
<span style="font-size: large;">I hope everyone has there list knocked into shape and are looking forward to another year of finishes.</span><br />

I originally started it five years ago for another baby boy. Just as I'd finished piecing the top I was told that the Mum really wouldn't like the colours I'd used. Oh dear. I was really disappointed as I really like this top.</font></p>

<p style="text-align: left;"><font size="5">So, roll on half a decade and a new colleague has a lovely little boy at the same time as I rediscover the forgotten patchwork. I don't know the mum particularly well but I didn't think she would mind a baby quilt.</font></p>

<p style="text-align: center;"><font size="4">I had already tried to randomise the strips and couldn't face either a) trimming them one by one as I came across them, or b) sorting them from the pile and cutting them down.<strong> I just wanted to sew.</strong> </font></p>

I have unpicked a lot. And not just once.. </font></p>
<p style="text-align: center;"><font size="5">Due to my first thread choice shredding and breaking, a lot of unpicking was necessary. </font></p>

<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><font size="5"> </font></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><font size="5">and again......to get rid of the dodgy square spiral accented by the dark bobbin thread...times six.</font></div>

<p style="text-align: center;"><font size="5">And again.....I thought I'd free motion petal shapes inside the two stars, notice the particularly lovely convergence of lines in the centre - cue unpicking. </font></p>

<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><font size="5">It only takes a few minutes to sew but <strong><em>hours</em></strong> to unpick. You'd have thought I would have learnt my lesson but oh no, I ploughed on. In all I must have spent at least 10 hours unpicking various errors.</font></div>

<p style="text-align: center;"><font size="5"> </font></p>
<p style="text-align: center;"><font size="5">At this point I had a change of mind and decided to embroider baby R's details in the stars.</font></p>

</font></p>
<p style="text-align: center;"><font size="5"> But du<span style="line-height: 1.3em;">e to the hot mess left by all that unpicked thread I thought the quilt should be washed to get rid of all the holes before I stared the embroidery. Which meant </span></font><span style="font-size: x-large; line-height: 1.3em;">I needed to apply the binding. I machine stitched the binding onto the front before heading to Edinburgh for a few days over the school half term. </span></p>
<p style="text-align: center;"><span style="line-height: 1.3em;"><font size="5"><br>
</font></span></p>
<p style="text-align: center;"><span style="line-height: 1.3em;"><font size="5">During the drive there and back I was able to hand stitch the back of the binding down. </font></span><span style="font-size: x-large; line-height: 1.3em;"> One bit of good news is that I finally seem to be getting the hang of turning the corners. </span></p>

<span style="font-size: large;">Well, the fact that I finished anything from my first list counts as a big win in my book. The FAL gave me the motivation/inspiration I needed to sew those lingering WIPs, so it's no surprise that I'm joining up again. </span></div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
<span style="line-height: 1.3em;"><span style="font-size: large;">WIPs seem to multiply on their own, I really didn't realise I had so many - or is it just Quilters Denial?</span></span></div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
<span style="line-height: 1.3em;"><span style="font-size: large;"> If I don't have too many projects on the go it's perfectly reasonable to buy fabric and start another one, isn't it! </span></span></div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
<span style="line-height: 1.3em;"><span style="font-size: large;">So, before my next delivery arrives (Aurifil thread from a new-to-me online stockist) I'd better get on with my list....</span></span></div>

<span style="line-height: 1.3em;"><span style="font-size: large;"> I have been trying to FMQ this one with some YLI thread in the most perfect colour, but the thread keeps breaking. Not sure why, hence the need for more thread purchasing.</span></span></div>

<div style="text-align: center;">
<span style="font-size: large;">This has been a WIP for nearly two years. </span></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<span style="font-size: large;">I knew how I wanted to quilt the background quite early on in the piecing. But then I stalled with the coloured section, I tried radiating straight lines, but that really didn't do it for me. So after unpicking ,<strong><em> a lot</em></strong>, it has been folded in the cupboard, hence the creases. I'm now thinking along the lines of 'S' shaped radiating lines, we'll see. </span></div>

<span style="font-size: large;"> </span></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<span style="font-size: large;">I like to have a little hand embroidery on the go, and this free project seemed perfect. </span></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<span style="font-size: large;">I really only think about this project around October time and mostly have been sewing in lunch breaks at work. By mid-December I realise I'm not going to finish in time for Christmas, so away it hides for another year. NOT this year. It will be finished!!</span></div>

<div style="text-align: center;">
<span style="line-height: 1.3em;"><span style="font-size: large;"> This was supposed to be my leader-and-Enders project. Which is fine if I have a normal foot on and pale coloured thread. It seems that this foot/thread combo was lacking and not much progress was made. I really would like to see this completed and on my sideboard for Xmas. I think the fabric is a Kate Spain 'Flurry' charm pack. </span></span></div>

<p style="text-align: center;"><font size="5">And I'm in no doubt that without the finish-along it would still be folded in the cupboard.</font></p>
<p style="text-align: center;"><font size="5">I first decided to have this quilt off-centre, which I really liked. </font></p>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="https://lh4.googleusercontent.com/-PQL97nb5VR0/UlGtg1F7MAI/AAAAAAAAAJY/kUEkHute8Y0/s645/Photo%2525209%252520Jul%2525202013%25252019%25253A10.jpg" target="_blank" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><font size="5"><img src="https://lh4.googleusercontent.com/-PQL97nb5VR0/UlGtg1F7MAI/AAAAAAAAAJY/kUEkHute8Y0/s500/Photo%2525209%252520Jul%2525202013%25252019%25253A10.jpg" id="blogsy-1381084569505.2705" class="aligncenter" alt="" width="500" height="516"></font></a></div>
<p style="text-align: center;"><font size="5"><br>
</font></p>
<p style="text-align: center;"><font size="5">B<span style="line-height: 1.3em;">ut then my DH pulled a, 'is it meant to look like that', face. As it was going on the wall downstairs and he would be looking at it every day, I would rather he liked it too.</span><br>
</font></p>
<p style="text-align: center;"><span style="line-height: 1.3em;"><font size="5"><br>
</font></span></p>
<p style="text-align: center;"><span style="line-height: 1.3em;"><font size="5">So after losing interest for a while, then considering using it to cover my upcycled <a href="http://purplepatchquilting.blogspot.co.uk/2013/10/chair-seat-finishedfor-now.html">chair</a>..</font></span></p>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="https://lh4.googleusercontent.com/-YAWIt4I2_bw/UlGtiC3--fI/AAAAAAAAAJg/MWKvVGa8m2Y/s960/Photo%25252014%252520Aug%2525202013%25252016%25253A45.jpg" target="_blank" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><font size="5"><img src="https://lh4.googleusercontent.com/-YAWIt4I2_bw/UlGtiC3--fI/AAAAAAAAAJg/MWKvVGa8m2Y/s500/Photo%25252014%252520Aug%2525202013%25252016%25253A45.jpg" id="blogsy-1381084569521.765" class="aligncenter" alt="" width="301" height="402"></font></a></div>
<p><font size="5"> </font></p>
<p style="text-align: center;"><font size="5"> I realised I would be disappointed if I didn't make it into the planned wall hanging. So, with the finish-along to motivate me, I dug out the fabrics I had put away and set about cutting and stitching. </font></p>
<p style="text-align: center;"><font size="5">But... the colours I'd chosen for the first solid square of green had ended up looking more duck egg blue than the lime green I'd used for the fractured section. </font></p>
<p style="text-align: center;"><font size="5">As I progressed, I realised I'd have to swap out those solids! I'm glad I did because I think it looks miles better.</font></p>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><font size="5"><font style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><a href="https://lh3.googleusercontent.com/-gFPqNG1U4pY/UlGtjMEN3MI/AAAAAAAAAJo/81Wicuj7_8Q/s960/Photo%2525207%252520Sep%2525202013%25252011%25253A14.jpg" target="_blank" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img src="https://lh3.googleusercontent.com/-gFPqNG1U4pY/UlGtjMEN3MI/AAAAAAAAAJo/81Wicuj7_8Q/s500/Photo%2525207%252520Sep%2525202013%25252011%25253A14.jpg" id="blogsy-1381084569582.1375" class="aligncenter" alt="" width="500" height="375"></a></font><span style="line-height: 1.3em;"><br>
</span></font></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><font size="5"> I already had straight line quilting in mind, so getting started was straightforward. At this point I thought the design needed a bit of breathing space.</font></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><font size="5"><br>
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEiYagcfbdBda-A-2cUD0PH4cotyTIYVwogbfl129xdjRv5FZwx_6vxlyOVTW-AJe1lATau9bu3Iw24pnvBBR86gkVlRLupRBTro1HLoBBbdcnQTZvHIHVH2CTfYjWmld4nbMeBsKqd0744V/s1024/Photo%2525209%252520Sep%2525202013%25252016%25253A47.jpg" target="_blank" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEiYagcfbdBda-A-2cUD0PH4cotyTIYVwogbfl129xdjRv5FZwx_6vxlyOVTW-AJe1lATau9bu3Iw24pnvBBR86gkVlRLupRBTro1HLoBBbdcnQTZvHIHVH2CTfYjWmld4nbMeBsKqd0744V/s500/Photo%2525209%252520Sep%2525202013%25252016%25253A47.jpg" id="blogsy-1381084569512.237" class="aligncenter" alt="" width="400" height="534"></a></font></div>
<p style="text-align: center;"><font size="5">So I left a gap and then quilted some lines to echo the 'fractured' areas of piecing. </font></p>

<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="https://lh3.googleusercontent.com/-BN9RgwZJqxM/Uk2w_pkzbhI/AAAAAAAAAIw/bv3s5-DrzKA/s960/Photo%25252014%252520Aug%2525202013%25252016%25253A45.jpg" target="_blank" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><font size="5"><img src="https://lh3.googleusercontent.com/-BN9RgwZJqxM/Uk2w_pkzbhI/AAAAAAAAAIw/bv3s5-DrzKA/s500/Photo%25252014%252520Aug%2525202013%25252016%25253A45.jpg" id="blogsy-1380823398845.4663" class="aligncenter" alt="" width="500" height="667"></font></a></div>
<p><font size="5"> </font></p>
<p><font size="5">But I really didn't think that quilting cotton would be robust enough to withstand repeated exposure to my rear end.</font></p>
<p><font size="5">I also knew that I would feel disappointed every time I looked at it, knowing the patchwork should have been a lovely wall hanging. So with the impetus of the finish-along I've nearly completed it and will hopefully be writing a post before the 3rd quarter finish-along deadline of October 7th.</font></p>
<p><font size="5"> </font></p>
<p><font size="5">Coincidently I came across this fabric in a <a href="http://www.simonboyd.com/store-locator/knutsford/">not quite local furnishing fabric shop</a>. Therefore I didn't quite buy enough and had to piece a bit on the back.</font></p>

<span style="font-size: large;"><br />
</span><br />
<span style="font-size: large;"><br />
</span><a href="https://lh3.googleusercontent.com/-56XMjU-Et3w/UguvNT0uKrI/AAAAAAAAAHI/A1nSEaHm9Lc/s960/Photo%25252014%252520Aug%2525202013%25252016%25253A48.jpg" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em; text-align: center;" target="_blank"><span style="font-size: large;"><img alt="" class="aligncenter" height="667" id="blogsy-1376498636325.8518" src="https://lh3.googleusercontent.com/-56XMjU-Et3w/UguvNT0uKrI/AAAAAAAAAHI/A1nSEaHm9Lc/s500/Photo%25252014%252520Aug%2525202013%25252016%25253A48.jpg" width="500" /></span></a><span style="font-size: x-large;"><br />
</span><br />
<span style="font-size: x-large;">I put this small wall hanging to one side after my DH made a face when I was showing it to him. I'm sure everyone knows the 'face'. Me, all excited and asking 'what do you think?', expecting 'ooh, that's coming along nicely'. But instead getting 'the face'. The one that says ' I'm not liking this but she obviously does, so what can I say that won't be the wrong thing.' </span><br />
<span style="font-size: x-large;">Which all happens in a split second but you can read it. And there's no mistaking the definite lack of enthusiasm.</span><br />
<span style="font-size: large;"><br />
</span><span style="font-size: x-large;">So, what to do...I can't bring myself to finish it and </span><strong style="font-size: x-large;">not</strong><span style="font-size: x-large;"> hang it up (there's no more wall space in my sewing area). The other option is to use it to cover this chair that I've been upcycling. Or painting as my Dad would say.</span><br />
<span style="font-size: large;"><br />
</span><a href="https://lh6.googleusercontent.com/-D3hYMw05Epo/UguvOUXBjvI/AAAAAAAAAHQ/x_SZiqZmFj4/s960/Photo%25252014%252520Aug%2525202013%25252016%25253A48.jpg" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em; text-align: center;" target="_blank"><img alt="" class="aligncenter" height="375" id="blogsy-1376498636318.0225" src="https://lh6.googleusercontent.com/-D3hYMw05Epo/UguvOUXBjvI/AAAAAAAAAHQ/x_SZiqZmFj4/s500/Photo%25252014%252520Aug%2525202013%25252016%25253A48.jpg" width="500" /></a><span style="font-size: large;"><br />
</span><span style="font-size: x-large;">The other area of procrastination is this cushion.</span><br />
<span style="font-size: large;"><br />
</span><span style="font-size: x-large;"> For some reason it has been </span><strong style="font-size: x-large;"><em><u>painful</u></em></strong><span style="font-size: x-large;"> to make. Lots of little things have gone wrong..bobbin running out 3 inches from the end, cutting a piece too short- three times! Miscalculating the size of striped fabric required because I'd measured the centre square wrongly. Trimming one of the embroidered sections too thin, which meant having to trim the others to match. Which resulted in the whole thing being smaller than I'd planned. Dropping the iron whilst doing a final press, not noticing some melted rug on the edge and therefore applying melted plastic to one corner post. Etc.</span><br />
<span style="font-size: large;"><br />
</span><span style="font-size: x-large;">Consequently I'm not feeling the love for this piece. Which is a shame, I do like it and I enjoyed the embroidery but I don't </span><strong style="font-size: x-large;">love</strong><span style="font-size: x-large;"> it.</span><br />
<span style="font-size: large;"><br />
</span><span style="font-size: x-large;">So how to finish it, I'd like to give piping a go but with the above track record that would be ;</span><br />
<span style="font-size: x-large;">a) pushing my luck. b) tempting fate c) plain stupid </span><span style="font-size: x-large;">( delete as appropriate).</span><br />
<span style="font-size: x-large;">So I think I'll just try an 'invisible' zip. Which will probably be visible from space.</span><br />
<span style="font-size: large;"><br />
</span><span style="font-size: x-large;">Wish me luck.</span><br />

That's the point of linking up isn't it? To make public those UFO's that only I know about, my quilty little secrets, so I'd better move right along...</p>
<p>The pictures aren't great but if I mess around getting 'better' ones I'll never do this post!</p>
<p> </p>
<p>The most pressing finish is this baby gift, I've made the basket (pattern by Anna <a href="http://www.noodle-head.com/2013/01/divided-basket-pattern.html">No</a><a href="http://(null)" target="_self" title=""></a>odlehe<a href="http://(nul" target="_self" title=""></a>ad- highly recommended) but then I stalled on the cushion I wanted to make to go with it. I've made the centre monogram but I also plan to include little Miquels birth details, as I don't have a clear plan on how I want to do it, I kind of wandered off to other things - embroidering a non-urgent Xmas quilt anyone?</p>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhIkC5Eu6pb52s7rZ7soFsSthINqFsMdyKoKkzbqNTnlL8WWjnc90VhqRiOiOIJD4_wInbCvPJRu3Ks8olHcCzLyuHdNpwjVSztO1wLqHRkCu34quFu6-1xFZZ_38msyWMCUR8UhlOv8jUK/s863/Photo%25252012%252520Jul%2525202013%25252016%25253A52.jpg" target="_blank" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhIkC5Eu6pb52s7rZ7soFsSthINqFsMdyKoKkzbqNTnlL8WWjnc90VhqRiOiOIJD4_wInbCvPJRu3Ks8olHcCzLyuHdNpwjVSztO1wLqHRkCu34quFu6-1xFZZ_38msyWMCUR8UhlOv8jUK/s500/Photo%25252012%252520Jul%2525202013%25252016%25253A52.jpg" id="blogsy-1373647901366.4238" class="aligncenter" alt="" width="500" height="403"></a></div>
<p> </p>
<p>This next one definitely requires some focus and direction. These are little scrappy stars I've been making for over a year with no finish date in mind. If I want my skills to develop I really need to complete things, not keep starting new ones. I think it's because in my head the finished quilt will be a.maze.ing! But I also feel that my skill-set isn't up to the level required to finish whatever project I'm working on, so I keep procrastinating and starting something new. So, this is going to be <strong><em><u>something</u></em></strong>, I'm thinking large cushion to go on my daughters bed. It will complement the stars quilt I've made for her that 'just' needs quilting- and has been waiting in that state for a year (maybe that should have been on this list?) </p>

<p> </p>
<p>While having a quick look in my quilting cupboard (substitute spare room wardrobe here) for the previous projects I'm ashamed to say I came across the next two which I had totally forgotten about.</p>
<p> </p>
<p>This top was completed about 5 years ago as a secret baby quilt for a work colleague. It's a small version of a quilt by Pam and Nicky Lintott from <a href="http://www.amazon.co.uk/Jelly-Roll-Quilts-Perfect-Making/dp/0715328638/ref=sr_1_cc_1?s=aps&ie=UTF8&qid=1373648332&sr=1-1-catcorr&keywords=Jelly+roll+quilts+lintott">this book</a>. I had made the top when she mentioned she 'hated' red, white and blue! Whilst a lot of the blue is really a turquoisy colour, I didn't want to upset a new Mum, so into the cupboard it went. Which was a real shame as I enjoyed making it. I had to hurriedly make an alternative which she said she liked but I was left feeling deflated by the whole episode, this quilt would make a nice gift for someone and deserves better than to be left in the wardrobe.</p>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: none;"><a href="https://lh5.googleusercontent.com/--7ir0_6t5bs/UeAzvjmqGgI/AAAAAAAAAGo/xNBN7gPGk7s/s960/Photo%2525209%252520Jul%2525202013%25252019%25253A03.jpg" target="_blank" style=""><img src="https://lh5.googleusercontent.com/--7ir0_6t5bs/UeAzvjmqGgI/AAAAAAAAAGo/xNBN7gPGk7s/s500/Photo%2525209%252520Jul%2525202013%25252019%25253A03.jpg" id="blogsy-1373647901360.2856" class="alignnone" alt="" width="500" height="667"></a></div>
<p> </p>
<p> </p>
<p>These blocks ....well..I know I made them but I have really no idea when, at least 5 years ago but I can't really be sure</p>
<p> </p>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: none;"><a href="https://lh5.googleusercontent.com/-Enk-QCxLnIE/UeAzwpSmPjI/AAAAAAAAAGw/AMZPAHcs4zM/s960/Photo%2525209%252520Jul%2525202013%25252019%25253A09.jpg" target="_blank" style=""><img src="https://lh5.googleusercontent.com/-Enk-QCxLnIE/UeAzwpSmPjI/AAAAAAAAAGw/AMZPAHcs4zM/s500/Photo%2525209%252520Jul%2525202013%25252019%25253A09.jpg" id="blogsy-1373647901423.1533" class="alignnone" alt="" width="500" height="667"></a></div>
<p> </p>
<p>I was obviously in a very colourful phase when I made these blocks :-/. They probably need toning down with some sashing- not sure what I'll go for. And I'm not sure where this will end up, maybe a raffle prize for my school.</p>
<p> </p>
<p>I was dithering about including this- but what the heck, in for a penny...</p>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: right;"><a href="https://lh4.googleusercontent.com/--lKWC8kWp-A/UeAzxe8SFYI/AAAAAAAAAG4/JzeCEeDeCBM/s645/Photo%2525209%252520Jul%2525202013%25252019%25253A10.jpg" target="_blank" style="margin-bottom: 1em; margin-left: 1em;"><img src="https://lh4.googleusercontent.com/--lKWC8kWp-A/UeAzxe8SFYI/AAAAAAAAAG4/JzeCEeDeCBM/s500/Photo%2525209%252520Jul%2525202013%25252019%25253A10.jpg" id="blogsy-1373647901430.551" class="" alt="" width="500" height="516"></a></div>
<p> </p>
<p> </p>
<p>From <a href="http://www.amazon.co.uk/Quilting-Modern-Techniques-Projects-Improvisational/dp/1596683872">Quilting M</a><a href="http://www.amazon.com/Quilting-Modern-Techniques-Projects-Improvisational/dp/1596683872"></a>odern, I gave this a whirl and was enjoying the prospect of a lovely wall hanging in our sitting room when I caught my husband looking at it. You can tell straight away what they're thinking can't you. Nope, he doesn't like it. Yet again the wind was taken out of my sails, this one has been hanging on the back of the spare room door. I'll probably still make it into a hanging, but keep it small for the spare room instead.</p>
<p> So, that's my list. Now you too know (some) of my quilty secrets. What's yours?</p>
<p> </p>
<p>I'm trying to link up with all the quilty peeps at- </p>
<p style="text-align: -webkit-auto;"><span style="text-align: left; -webkit-text-size-adjust: auto; background-color: rgba(255, 255, 255, 0);"><div align="center"><a href="http://www.shecanquilt.blogspot.com" title="she can quilt"><img src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgNKjUIKHLFawA57Rj-p_UYSpXmAh-vygpipyQVfZ2BhqAGvI3p_7ZbUJzWJ1RYUvJgn2AlqazcGkYbKnWW8wihXOJCX-RTynMjZlho5j1L65XG-WEhjOvhgcgPgJkWHudXyTP6qcHYoXqQ/s170/DSC_0273+4.jpg" alt="she can quilt" style="border:none;" height=125 width=125 /></a></div></span> </p>

I think being too tired to do much means I've had a lot of time to think about what I'd rather be doing. (Although my aim is now fantastic, as I can throw the tissues to the bin with 99% accuracy, no mean feat for someone who's rubbish at all sports-related activity.)<br />
Consequently, when I've had the energy to do something, I've been really focused and achieved a lot in short bursts. My little contribution To Boston With Love, go check out the Flic<a href="http://(null)" target="_self" title=""></a>kr group.<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: none;">
<a href="https://lh5.googleusercontent.com/-GXDHaNTZd8g/UY4iQ-njW9I/AAAAAAAAADw/4azCEgxZzXk/s827/Photo%25252010%252520May%2525202013%25252018%25253A35.jpg" target="_blank"><img alt="" class="alignnone" height="612" id="blogsy-1368269456932.516" src="https://lh5.googleusercontent.com/-GXDHaNTZd8g/UY4iQ-njW9I/AAAAAAAAADw/4azCEgxZzXk/s500/Photo%25252010%252520May%2525202013%25252018%25253A35.jpg" width="500" /></a></div>
<br />
A happy coincidence means that my itching to attempt the Divided basket by Anna Noodle<a href="http://www.noodle-head.com/p/patterns.html" target="_self" title=""></a>head has been scratched by three friends expecting. After downloading the pattern and buying fabric in a shop (John lewis)...<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjXnIh_Edu9X_UfgL3RLlBGCT0CdZfoLFNKNCLyYXsJ8ilz2iRP24mqhqFnM8mPDoguVhQvqEK53s7GtVaBITWuSQH2A9H-Sdhyphenhyphenaqr787IWEqXu0AzP2SWiGR5-YhvMXrDjOILSkb5DZvF9/s960/Photo%25252011%252520May%2525202013%25252009%25253A24.jpg" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;" target="_blank"><img alt="" class="aligncenter" height="375" id="blogsy-1368269456879.7356" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjXnIh_Edu9X_UfgL3RLlBGCT0CdZfoLFNKNCLyYXsJ8ilz2iRP24mqhqFnM8mPDoguVhQvqEK53s7GtVaBITWuSQH2A9H-Sdhyphenhyphenaqr787IWEqXu0AzP2SWiGR5-YhvMXrDjOILSkb5DZvF9/s500/Photo%25252011%252520May%2525202013%25252009%25253A24.jpg" width="500" /></a></div>
... I then needed to buy interfacing and fusible fleece. Luckily, <a href="http://www.gonetoearth.co.uk/" target="_self" title="">Gone to Earth</a>, had just what I needed and delivered super quick. This is important when you re impatient to get on with it NOW. (We won't mention that it then sits around the house for days at various stages of the construction process, shall we.)<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="http://https//lh4.googleusercontent.com/-PiKfFjsEqKI/UY4iju__qrI/AAAAAAAAAEA/Eyhvw_jySQw/s960/Photo%25252011%252520May%2525202013%25252009%25253A25.jpg" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;" target="_blank" title=""><img alt="" class="aligncenter" height="375" id="blogsy-1368269456915.5298" src="https://lh4.googleusercontent.com/-PiKfFjsEqKI/UY4iju__qrI/AAAAAAAAAEA/Eyhvw_jySQw/s500/Photo%25252011%252520May%2525202013%25252009%25253A25.jpg" width="500" /></a></div>
<br />
I seem to have added these fabrics to my order, (Heather Bailey, Nicey Jane in Olive; Art Gallery Oval Elements, French Vanilla and Peacock; Comma, Zen Chic,Nigella in Chalk) they will probably join one of my <a href="http://www.dontcallmebetsy.com/p/lucky-stars-bom.html" target="_self" title="">Lucky Stars</a> blocks in the future.<br />
Happy stitching,<br />
